Blog post #3; Possible effects of "geo-tourism" in Jeju island

Geo-tourism means to travel or tour with a minimum impact on the place's environmental and the life of inhabitants. As traditional tourism is causing more and more negative impacts on the place where many tourists come to visit, such as a growing trash, unclean facilities, and damaged nature, geo-tourism is getting more view in the tourism market.

As Jeju Korea is becoming well-known tourist attractions around the world, it has earned a lot of economical benefits and at the same time the destroying of beautiful beaches and mountain Halla. Its beaches where many people visit ae full of trashes and its unique clearness which gained a recognition by UNESCO is losing power. No difference with Mountain Halla. Also, many tourists are visiting and accommodating in the guest-houses and hotels which is owned by the rich of cities, not by local inhabitants.

In these circumstances, tourism without much negative impacts should be introduced as soon as it can. If so, both local inhabitants and tourists can have  apossible answer. First, to local inhabitants, it will be good to earn more money and to protect their hometown from being seriously destroyed. And, for tourist, it's far more better to have a sight of inhabitants, experience local foods, and visit local places where they can truly feel the atmosphere of the visiting place.
